Ahmad Faraz was born on January 12, 1931 in Kohat Pakistan. His full name was Syed Ahmad Shah Ali. He is no doubt one of the legendry poets of Urdu language in the modern era. He was awarded Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Sitara-i-Imtiazand after his death Hilal-e-Pakistan by the government of Pakistan. He was died in Islamabad on August 25, 2008.
